The former District Chief Executive for Agona East in the Central region has told ex-president John Dramani Mahama that his era where he used the National security apparatus to gag party folks is over.
Martin Luther Obeng says now he (Mahama) has no power to gag anybody in the party and the folks will point out his lapses in government to him if he wants to lead the party again.
Some of the bad decisions he took in government led to the party losing the 2016 elections and ‘’some of us are ready to tell in him now’’ he said.
‘When we were in government they had the luxury of sending the operatives of the National Security and the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) at you when you want to speak your about the ills in the government’ he noted.
‘Now that the party is not in government we will speak our minds to make the party formidable going into the 2020 elections’ he stressed.
Mr. Obeng made this revelation speaking on the issue of the ten regional chairmen endorsing the candidature of the ex-president John Dramani Mahama at his residence on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
Some of us in the party the  BNI was used to gag us when we realized things were not going well in the party in the run-up the December 2016 elections.
They will send the operatives after you and they will be trailing you wherever you are going now they don’t have that luxury  to do so, so we will speak ‘he posited.
