There's No Problem With The Timing Of George Afriyie's Interest In GFA Presidency Declaration- Alhaji Grunsah

Founder of King Faisal Babies, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grunsah has added his voice to George Afriyie’s declaration to contest for the Ghana Football Association presidency in 2019.
The nation’s football governing body vice president, George Afriyie expressed his desire to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi as the president of the Ghana FA during his 50th birthday celebration at the Mensvic Hotel last Saturday.
Several football pundits have given divergent opinions on the timing of Afriyie’s declaration but Grunsah believes otherwise as he claimed it’s within his right to do so.
“Now he [Afriyie] has declared his interest to succeed Kwesi, so I believe it’s in the right direction because he’s a football person and he thinks he can do better than the outgoing president, but his manifesto will determine whether he’s capable of doing the job,” Grunsah stated on Happy FM.
Grunsah further indicated that Ghana football has collapsed and it needs a quick fix.
“Ghana football is going to the quagmire and we need people of competence to help it resurrect. George must bring out good manifesto because per my information Kurt Okraku, Fred Papoe, Kudjoe Fianoo, Alhaji Raji and Osei Kwaku Palmer are likely to contest, so if George thinks he’s capable of doing the job we are waiting for him to bring out what he can do for football.”
Kwesi Nyantakyi, who has occupied the hot seat since 2005, disclosed in an interview last year that he will vacate the position when his tenure expires in 2019.
