Rap legend, Obrafour has stated that rap churned out in recent times have no message.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM‘s Ayekoo hosted by DJ Advicer, the ‘Paemu ka’ hit maker said:
”Rappers of today only talk about a lady’s body and what they wish to do with it when they get her. So do what they say in today’s rap make sense? The messages are is all lost in our songs which have become beats driven. We have forgotten that we are Ghanaians and that we are Africans and here we hold morality in high esteem.”
The ”Rap sofour” continued to say rappers should respect our tradition and respect our songs to sell our culture to the outside world.
”Every Ghanaian is naturally respectful and will want to dignify himself at any given time, so that is exactly what I want the Rappers to think that we are Ghanaians so we must give respect to our songs and to sell our culture and tradition as it is. If we want to talk about love in our songs it should be decent.” Obrafour told Happy FM.
