The police in Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region have confirmed the untimely death of Gloria Addae, an 18-year-old worker at XI YIN HE Ghana Ltd, a Chinese-owned plywood manufacturing company located at Antwi Agyei Nkwanta.

According to the Bibiani Divisional Police Command, Gloria was rushed to the Bibiani Government Hospital on Sunday following a reported incident at the company’s hostel.

She was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Emmanuel Dabo, the medical officer on duty.

Upon examination, Dr. Dabo noted clear signs of electrocution and deep pressure burns on her chest, with no other signs of physical assault.

Investigators proceeded to the morgue to further examine the body and confirmed the presence of a severe burn mark, likely caused by a heated object.

They were later led to the company’s employee hostel by the firm’s secretary, Regina Benwah.

In Gloria’s room, police discovered a suspicious item: an electric iron with traces of human skin stuck to its underside.

The evidence suggests this object may have played a role in her death. The body remains at the Bibiani Government Hospital morgue pending further investigation and autopsy.

Gloria’s father, Kwaku Addae, confirmed the police account but expressed concern about possible foul play. He urged the authorities to conduct a transparent and thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind his daughter’s death.
