Heavy rains which occurred in Accra earlier today, Monday, May 6, 2024, has resulted in a series of vehicular casualties by felled trees in Accra.

The incident, which occurred at a car park opposite the Landing Restaurant in Airport Residential Area, Accra, has damaged structures and many private cars parked in proximity to trees.

Apart from vehicular damage, the rainstorm, which lasted for about one and a half hours, reportedly left an unidentified individual in critical condition.

A video that surfaced on the internet shows the aftermath of the storm with many cars utterly destroyed by the trees which rammed through some of the cars’ windscreens and smashed others.

People are seen in the video trying to salvage what they can from the damaged cars, while others stand by in shock at the scene.
