The trophy and mascot for the final clash of the 2017 FA Cup arrived in Tamale on Tuesday to a rapturous welcome in the Northern Regional capital.

The mascot Mr. Obiaa Nye Obiaa arrived at the Tamale airport alongside the giant trophy and were given a joyous arrival treat at the airport by fans and football enthusiasts.
In attendance was the Chairman of the Northern Region Football Association Abdulai Abubakar who led the delegation to the office of the Northern Regional Minister Hon. Salifu Saeed.
The Regional Minister gave the team a wonderful welcome and promised his uninterrupted support for the event and the Ghana Football Association whenever they want to hold an event in the region.
He added that his outfit will be hugely delighted to welcome many football events in the region as they attempt to revive the dwindling fortunes of the game in the region.
The ‘UMMISSABLE’ and historic final will be hugely remarkable as it will be the first time the two bitterest clubs will be playing in front of their teaming fans in the northern part of Ghana.
