President Donald Trump condemned the killing of Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah, a 50-year-old Indian-origin motel manager, who was brutally murdered in Dallas, Texas.
President Trump has called for stricter immigration enforcement, criticizing the Biden administration for releasing Cobos-Martinez despite his criminal record.
The attacker, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, a Cuban national and undocumented immigrant, allegedly used a machete during a dispute over a broken washing machine.
The assault occurred in front of Nagamallaiah’s wife and child.
Cobos-Martinez, who has a history of criminal charges including child abuse, had previously been ordered deported but was released under supervision after Cuba refused repatriation.
He is now in custody and charged with first-degree murder.
