Former Ghana International, Abubakari Damba says Black Meteors can win against Cote D’Ivoire in the semi-final of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations if Kwame Baah performs at his best.

According to ex-Black Stars goalkeeper, Baah was poor in the game against Egypt which resulted to the defeat but redeemed himself against Mali in the final group game.

Speaking on Wamputu Sports on Happy FM, he said, “Black Meteors have done well getting this far. Tomorrow’s game will depend on Kwame Baah and I am hoping he will be at his best.

“His confidence level was poor in the Egypt game but he redeemed himself against Mali”, he added.

Ghana will play against the Cote D’Ivoire in the first semi-final game at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday.

The Black Meteors defeated Mali in the final group game to progress to this stage.

A win for Ghana will see them end the 15-year jinx of not qualifying for the Olympic football tournament.

The last time Ghana participated at the Olympic football tournament was in Athens, Greece in 2004.
