The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has in his speech at the swearing in of the Governing Council of the University for Development Studies on 5th of September, 2019 urged the members of the Governing Council to ensure prudent use of the University’s finances.
This he said will ensure that the University obtains value for money. Speaking on behalf of President Nana Akufo-Addo on this occasion, he stated: “I urge you to ensure the prudent use of the university’s financial resources to ensure that it is getting value for money.” He was however confident that the Governing Council will successfully accomplish their task of ensuring the “financial health” of the University.
The Governing Council of the University for Development Studies which comprised of 14 members was successfully inaugurated on 5th September, 2019.
