Legal adviser of insolvent indigenous Ghanaian bank, uniBank, Dominic Ayine has disclosed that banks resolve to reverse the takeover by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
According to international news agency Reuters , management of uniBank is of the view that the BoG did not meet the requirement to notify them before announcing the takeover.
However A legal adviser to uniBank, Dominic Ayine, who disclosed the banks intention said, “We intend to go for arbitration.”
It is as however not clear where the bank will pursue this arbitration. Mr. Ayine has confirmed this decision has refused to give further details.
