Entertainment critic and talent developer, Mr Logic,
has called on the Creative Arts Council to help in uniting stakeholders of the All African Music Awards (AFRIMA) showbiz industry.

Speaking as a panellist in reaction to Ghana opting out in hosting (AFRIMA), Mr Logic pleaded with (AFRIMA) president of the Creative Arts Council, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey to be a forerunner in considering his request.

Mr. Logic who was speaking on Accra based radio station, Happy FM was hosted by Dr. Cann on the show ‘Showbiz Xtra’.

According to him, “tourism has nothing to do with AFRIMA and it won’t benefit us in any way, rather we should look at coming together to help develop the industry. AFRIMA is an award scheme it is not beneficial to tourism. Let’s stop using tourism as an excuse to be giving AFRIMA relevance”.

Mr Logic added that “Government felt it was necessary to join forces with AFRIMA to help build the tourism industry, and also give a platform to support the music industry but there are equally good schemes that can do that”.

He also mentioned that “there are people with great ideas, that could have been associated with AFRIMA including schemes like‘Base’ which had great ideas and projects to benefit the whole of Africa, but collapsed due to lack of funds and support.
