The committee investigating the chaos during the vetting of ministerial nominees is set to begin public hearings on Wednesday, February 5.

The committee established by Speaker Alban Bagbin, aims to uncover the truth behind the dramatic disruption on January 30, which saw a clash between the Minority and Majority over timing and the destruction of equipment.

The committee chaired by Ho West MP Emmanuel Bedzrah, includes Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, Abena Osei Asare, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Vincent Oppong Asamoah, and Bede Ziedeng.

The committee has been given a 10-day deadline to deliver its findings and recommendations.

Speaker Bagbin emphasized the importance of maintaining order in Parliament and stressed that these hearings are crucial for restoring public trust and ensuring parliamentary effectiveness.
