The president of IMANI Africa , Franklin Cudjoe has commended the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumani Kingsford Bagbin for suspending four members of Parliament following the chaos that happened at the appointments committee.
According to him, the decision of the speaker is a step in the right the direction.
He said once Speaker is the landlord of the house, it is his responsibility to make sure that the right thing is done to put the house in order.
Franklin Cudjoe criticized those who are opposing the decision of the Speaker stating that anyone who does not understand the Speaker should deal with him directly.
Four members of Parliament were suspended by the Speaker after the chaotic incident in parliament on Thursday, January 30, 2024 during vetting. The suspended MPs include Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli and Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
