The Vice President of Ghana, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is set to seek further medical treatment abroad following a sudden illness.

A statement issued by the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Sunday, March 30, confirmed that the Vice President was taken to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday after falling ill the previous night.

According to medical experts, she requires additional care outside the country to ensure a full recovery.

“We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery,” it read.

The government has not disclosed further details about her condition or the specific country where she will be receiving treatment.
