The Black Stars held their final training session at the Estádio Nacional 12 de Julho ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday, 18 November, 2019.

The team arrived in Sao Tome on Sunday afternoon and held their final training session on the artificial pitch ahead of the game.

The Stars after their win against South  Africa in the opening game of the 2021 AFCON qualifier switched focus to their second game against Sao Tome.

Kwesi Appiah and players of the Black Stars trained at the newly constructed Madina Astro-turf pitch on Friday and Saturday before embarking on the trip to Sao Tome.

The training session held this evening was to help the players get used to the artificial pitch. Some key players such as Thomas Partey have complained about the nature of the pitch.

The game comes of on Monday with kick off set at 1pm.

A win for the Black Stars will see them on top of the group with six points.
