In pursuit of a vision to ignite Ghana’s digital revolution, Vodafone has added twenty-five (25) locations to its 3G footprint via U900 technology across the country; with specific emphasis on the rural population.
Having operated in Ghana for close to ten years, Vodafone’s commitment to ensuring noone is left behind in the adoption of modern technology remains an agenda that keeps on giving.
The areas include Asamang; Dwease; Beposo; Juansa; Ofoase; Nobewam (all in the Ashanti Region); Acherensua; Dadiesoaba; Debibi; Brosankro; Sikaa; Jamera (all in the Brong Ahafo Region), Abaasa; Assin Anyinabrim; Assin Breku; Gomoa Wassa; Assin Akropong (Central Region); Apewa; Akim Manso; Asarekrom; Apinamang (Eastern Region) and Nyigbenya (Greater Accra Region) and Afife; Brewaniase and Dzita; (Volta Region).
Commenting, Commenting, Technology Director of Vodafone Ghana, Srabasti Bhattacharjee said:
“We are committed to ensuring good quality access to telecommunication services for all Ghanaians in a timely and effective manner. This is part of a concerted effort in line with the NCA’s desire for telecom companies to extend services to unserved and underserved communities.”
Recently, Vodafone Ghana was ranked the overall best mobile network in Ghana by an independent global consulting firm – P3 Communications – headquartered in Germany. The telecoms company was also ranked the best in voice and second best in data in a comprehensive analysis of Ghana’s mobile telecoms industry for the 2017/18 financial year.
