A truck filled with fuel caught fire on the George W. Bush Highway while heading toward the Dzorwulu traffic light.
The truck, with registration number GT-7840-20, initially began to emit smoke, drawing the attention of bystanders and fuel attendants from a nearby filling station.
Fuel attendants rushed to the scene with fire extinguishers and quickly began efforts to put out the fire.
Some individuals who joined in to help confirmed in an engagement with happyghana.com that the truck was carrying diesel.
After approximately ten minutes, road users were able to resume normal commuting on the highway.
The Ghana National Fire Service had yet to arrive at the scene at the time of filing this report, while the fuel attendants continued their efforts to contain the fire.
