Coronavirus Outbreak: Ps Mensa Otabil leads ICGC in virtual communion service

Pastor Mensa Otabil, Founder and Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church(ICGC) has proclaimed that Ghana cannot prosper if we rely solely on our natural resources.

He made this assertion during Sunday, 14th June’s virtual church service which was broadcast live on the Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC) platforms, Happy98.9FM, eTV Ghana, and across the Y-Triangle (Y107.9fm Accra, Y102.5fm Kumasi and Y97.9fm Takoradi).

Ps. Otabil said, “We have gold, it didn’t work, timber didn’t work, diamonds didn’t work, oil didn’t work. By now, it should register in our minds that no matter how much natural resources we have, that will not give us what we are looking for”.

According to him, change is not from the blessings of the earth and change will not come just because we pray a lot, or because we have an aggressive spirit.

However, he said, “The change will come when we start being restless and we wrestle and struggle with the yolk upon our necks, and we say we will not be beggars forever”.

Pastor Mensa Otabil notes that if Ghana wants to stop depending on other countries for every little thing that we want to do, then Ghanaians need to get restless and struggle towards achieving that.
