Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended the Mahama-led government for implementing the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
The statesman’s commendation was made in a televised broadcast aired during the Christian session of the ongoing National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving being held at the forecourt of Ghana’s state house.
He indicated that Ghana as a country has seen the emergence of many threats and political standoffs however, which have failed to distort the peace of the country. “All of us have to support this initiative it’s clearly a worthwhile initiative. That we have this one day where all of us come together to give thanks to the Almighty… we have a lot to thank God for.”
He commended President Mahama for his unwavering determination in ensuring the National Day of Prayer is made a nationwide priority. He encouraged all Ghanaians to continually see the importance of God and His hand in Ghana’s longstanding peace and democracy. “I would like to commend the President for taking up this initiative and making it real.”, the Former President stated.
