Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that the party has not regretted their decision to change leadership in Parliament.

According to Asiedu Nketiah, the decision to change Haruna Iddrisu and replace him with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as the leader of the Minority in Parliament was met with severe criticisms but they have been proven right.

The NDC chairman who was speaking at a campaign rally in Ajumako in the Central Region commended the past leadership while eulogizing Ato Forson for the incredible work he has done as the leader of NDC in Parliament.

“When we selected Ato Forson to lead the Minority in Parliament, I was insulted for that decision but we stood firm because we knew what he can do and now we have been vindicated because they have done a good job.”

“We thank God for giving us the foresight to change leadership because we released that regardless of the good work being done by the past leadership, we decided to change the baton and Ato has delivered as our leader in Parliament,” Asiedu Nketiah said as monitored by Happy News.

The NDC on Tuesday, January 2024, replaced Haruna Iddrisu and Mubarak Muntaka as Minority Leader and Chief Whip while replacing them with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Kwame Agbodza.
