We have not made any changes to our leadership - Majority Caucus

The Majority Caucus in Parliament has vehemently refuted claims circulating regarding changes in their leadership.

The 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Wusu, dismissed the rumuors, claiming, there have been no alterations within their leadership structure or any plans to do so.

Addressing the media, Joe Osei-Wusu clarified, “The publications that are going around are not true but false. The Majority Caucus has not made any changes in its leadership. The Majority Caucus has not contemplated making any changes to its leadership, and Ghanaians need to ignore any such publications.”

He further assured the public that the caucus remains steadfast in its support for the current leadership. He stated, “We want to assure you that we have confidence in the leadership that they are, and the status quo shall remain.”

However, he did acknowledge an upcoming change due to the nomination of Deputy Majority Whip Lydia Alhassan as a Minister for Sanitation. He clarified that while a replacement would be necessary, it would be a decision made by the caucus after careful consideration.

“We are aware that upon the nomination of one of the deputy whips as a Minister, a replacement will be made, and that replacement will be made by the caucus when we have had the opportunity and time to consider the appropriate replacement,” Osei Wusu added.
