Wizkid introduces 'brother' Shatta Wale onto Ghana meets Naija stage

Shatta Wale’s surprise performance at the 2018 Ghana Meets Naija concert was preceded by an introduction by headline artiste, WizKid.
“Bring down the light, Ghana! I have my brother with me tonight. Make some noise for the dancehall king” stated the former before the latter stepped onto the stage to loud cheers.
Wale started his performance with the song ‘Freedom.’
Held at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, La, Accra, the concert brought together some of the big names in the Ghanaian and Nigerian music industry for a ‘musical rivalry.’
There were performances by Stonebwoy, Patapaa, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Patapaa, Fancy Gadam, Yaa Pono and many others.

Regularly looked forward to, it has constantly served as the ultimate platform for the West African countries to execute their longstanding sibling rivalry in the area of music.

The Ghana Meets Naija Concert has since its institution,  provided opportunity for both countries to celebrate the diverse sounds which unify us at the same time.

The annual event has constantly proven a sought-after platform.

 Usually overbooked, the concert has previously been mounted by Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Falz, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Naeto C, R2Bees and a host of others.

Over 5000 people attended the event.
