Wizkid wanted to feature on my Reign Album – Shatta Wale reveals
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has revealed that Afro-pop musician, Wizkid had wanted to star on his ‘Reign’ album.

The two artists were engaged in a social media war last year after Shatta Wale stated on radio that he does not see Nigerian musician as a superstar.

This caused so many arguments between Nigerians and some Shatta fans from Ghana on social media until the two patched up after Wizkid came to Ghana earlier this year.

However, according to Shatta, Wizkid wanted to feature on his Exodus track on the Reign album but due to his hectic schedules, the collaboration did not emerge.

“Wizkid wanted to be featured on ‘Exodus’ on the Reign Album when he came to Ghana but due to his busy schedule he has to leave,” he told Showbiz Agenda host Sammy Flex.

Shatta Wale’s remark comes after a lot of sour comments which have followed the release of the album.

Though Shatta Wale held, arguably, the greatest ever concert by a single Ghanaian artiste to launch the album, critics have described the album as empty.

Well, if the collaboration had really made possible, it could have gone a long way to intensify the image of the album and would have also shown how far the two artists have come since their social media war last year.
