FIFA has announced a new, more affordable ticket pricing option for fans of qualified national teams at the FIFA World Cup 2026, following record demand during the current sales phase.
With more than 20 million ticket requests already submitted, FIFA confirmed the introduction of a Supporter Entry Tier priced at a fixed USD 60 per match. The new ticket category will be available for all 104 matches, including the final, and is aimed at making it easier for fans to follow their national teams at the tournament.
The Supporter Entry Tier tickets will be reserved for supporters of teams that have qualified for the World Cup. Allocation and distribution will be managed by each Participating Member Association, which will set its own eligibility rules and application procedures. FIFA has asked the associations to ensure the tickets are given to loyal supporters who are closely connected to their national teams.
Under the new structure, 50 percent of each Participating Member Association’s ticket allocation will fall within the most affordable categories. This includes 40 percent allocated to the Supporter Value Tier and 10 percent to the Supporter Entry Tier. The remaining tickets will be shared equally between the Supporter Standard Tier and the Supporter Premier Tier.
FIFA also announced that fans who apply through their national association and whose teams fail to reach the knockout stage will have the administrative fee waived when refunds are processed for unsuccessful applications.
The announcement comes amid growing global interest in the 2026 World Cup. The current Random Selection Draw sales phase, which opened on Thursday, 11 December 2025, has already attracted 20 million ticket requests. Demand has increased further following confirmation of the match schedule, venues and kick-off times for the tournament, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
The Random Selection Draw ticketing phase remains open until Tuesday, 13 January 2026 at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET). FIFA said the timing of a ticket request does not affect the chances of success. Fans can apply and find more information on FIFA.com.
FIFA said revenue generated from the World Cup is reinvested into the development of football worldwide. The organisation expects to reinvest more than 90 percent of its budgeted investments for the 2023–2026 cycle back into men’s, women’s and youth football across its 211 member associations.
