Yaa Pono: I never said If Shatta Wale organises his own awards, Stonebwoy will win Dancehall Artiste of The Year

Several Ghanaian blogs recently reported that rapper Yaa Pono has stated emphatically that if Ghana’s self-professed Dancehall king, Shatta Wale organises his own awards, his arch-rival, Stonebwoy will win Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

According to the reports, Yaa Pono made the proclamation just after the reverently held AFRIMA awards where Stonebwoy was crowed as the Best Dancehall & Reggae Artiste of The Year at the expense of Shatta Wale.

But Yaa Pono in an interview on Hitz FM, advised that the viral publication shouldn’t be treated with all seriousness because he didn’t say that – there’s no video or audio evidence to prove its authenticity.

“Where is the audio and where is the proof,” he quizzed.

According to him, when he heard it, he asked that they ignore it because there was no truth to the story.

“If the news is not healthy, it doesn’t help the industry,” the rapper lamented and stressed that, “I’m a very nice guy, I’m a very humble guy” and if anyone wants to interview him, he is always available
