GOC Electoion: Nunoo Mensah floors Prof Dodoo as Sahnoon fails to upstage Akpokavie

Ben Nunoo Mensah has been voted as president of the Ghana Olypic Committee (GOC) after a keenly contested election with the incumbent Professor Francis Dodoo at the Alisa Hotel on Wednesday.
Nunoo mensah, who is the president of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation polled 33 votes to emerge as the winner while Prof. Dodoo garnered 28 votes.
President for Volleyball Federation, Paul Achoe snatched the 1st Vice President position from Deborah Cubagee with 32 votes while the latter polled 29.
In another fiercely contested race, Richard Akpokavie retained his seat as the General Secretary of the association after amassing 36 votes while Cycling president mohammed Sahnoon polled 26 votes.
