An innovative campaign, dubbed ‘’Peace UP Africa’’ Project, which is geared towards driving home the importance of promoting peace by Ghanaians as we inch closer to another elections in Ghana has been launched in Accra.
Present to support the project was the Apostle General of Royal House Chapel, Sam Korankye Ankrah and other personalities in the music and media industry.
Spearheaded by Brainstorm Concepts, the ‘’Peace UP Africa’’ Project was initiated out of the desire to use the medium of good, relevant music to advocate for peace in Ghana and across Africa, especially in the wake of politically motivated violence and unrest. It is also designed to present a unique opportunity to Ghanaians and Africans as a whole to promote peace in this crucial moments of our democratic process.
Speaking at the launch of the ‘’Peace UP Africa’’ Project, Pastor Francis Blewusi Kofi Dedzi, the CEO of Brainstorm Concepts, said, ‘’our message is simple: unity and avoidance of violence through the medium of music during and after the elections. The peace and health of our women and children, the most vulnerable in society, is paramount hence, our desire to us this project to support them.’’
According to Pastor Kofi a reggae peace song featuring Shasha Marley and Sonnel has been composed and will be played across media platforms in Ghana and abroad.
Proceeds from the ‘’Peace UP Africa’’ Project will be donated to the Antenatal Clinic of the La General Hospital.
