Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton, says the Black Stars know what it takes to beat Mozambique in their final group match at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana must win their final group game to be played at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe on Monday night after failing to win any of their two opening group matches.

Speaking ahead of the match, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager revealed his team must be physically and mentally prepared to face the Mozambique test.

“The players know what it will take to get a result. There are no easy games in this tournament
“We have to be physically and mentally prepared for this.”

Ghana opened its campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde after conceding a poor goal in stoppage time from a Mohammed Salisu mistake.

Against Egypt in Ghana’s second game, two mistakes gifted the record winners equalisers between Mohammed Kudus’s fantastic goals, with the game ending 2-2.

The Black Stars are third in Group B with one point from two games and must win against Mozambique to progress to the round of 16.
