Kumawood star actor Kwaku Manu has bemoaned the dwindling fortunes of the local moving industry, claiming most shops have been forced to close down due to low sales.
This call comes to buttress those of film makers who are calling on authorities handling the industry to help bring back life to the dying movie industry.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra with Dr. Cann, Kwaku Manu said, “the movie industry is very low now. In fact if any actor says the industry is doing well then he has a huge amount of money in his account and is using it for his own upkeep”.
He added the that the downward trend of the local movie industry affected sales hence forcing most shops to shut down.
” If you go to the shops where the movies are put up for sale, they’ve all been shut down due to low sales so we are calling on the authories to step in to help salvage the once booming industry.” Kwaku Manu told Happy FM.
