Sensational Ghanaian hip life artiste, Guru has disclosed that organizers of the Ghana Music Awards, Charter House apologized to him for not recognizing his works for the past years.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra hosted by Dr. Cann, the’Lapaz Toyota’ hit-maker intimated that Charter House offered the apology to him and his management.
“Charter House called my management and I and apologize to us for the inconvenience they have cost me for not recognizing my work in the past years. It was after this that I agreed to perform at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs)”. I have never said anywhere that I have never won an award as is being peddled around. Guru revealed.
Responding to why artistes lately use lyrics in their music against Krobos, Guru, known in real life as Nana Yaw Adjei said, “The reason most artistes keep using Krobo ladies in their music lately is because most of our youth don’t know much about Krobo culture so if we sing about them, it doesn’t mean they are bad. We keep doing this to promote and portray their culture heritage. For instance, if you go to South Africa now, there is a big festival celebrated there, almost like the Krobo culture.” Guru added.
