The vice-president of the GFA, George Afriyie, who made the announcement noted that the decision by his outfit to spend such huge sum of money on just clearing jerseys and boots among others shows their commitment to reviving juvenile football in the country.
He however revealed that FIFA helped the association by providing free jerseys and boots among others to help with the competition.
Speaking at the launch of the National U-15 league, Mr Afriyie, said “We spent over GH₵ 50,000 on taxes to clear the equipment sent by FIFA for the competition”.
“This shows how commitment we are to the course of reviving juvenile football in the country,” he added.
