manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule himself out of the running for the England job.
Wenger admitted his priority is to stay at Arsenal and get a new contract as his current £8m-a-year deal expires this summer.
When quizzed about whether he would be interested in the England job, Wenger said: “I rule nothing out. My focus is here but one day why not?”
Wenger, 66, was presented with a crystal vase by Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick as he celebrates 20 years in charge on Saturday.
Then Wenger was asked whether he could imagine there being a 25 year anniversary.
“I don’t know…” said Wenger. “I rule nothing out because I want to work but it can end tomorrow. It’s like a love story.
“This club is brave, it’s one of the values of the club and the board has always supported me and we’ve shown togetherness through the years.”
Francis Coquelin will have fitness test today, could even feature on Sunday just a week after fearing he had damaged knee ligaments.
But Olivier Giroud is out for Sunday’s trip to Burnley.
