Ghana’s fast-growing Agri-technology company, Famerline has partnered with Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), for the implementation of its innovative ‘Support a Farmer’ project.

The ‘Support a Farmer’ initiative initiated by Farmerline that seeks to develop and implement an Inclusive Business Plan (IBP) to deepen, broaden or strengthen supply chains in a way that delivers value to both smallholders and shareholders.

According to Farmerline, the initiative will also provide high-quality and affordable input packages to farmers and help them address the 200% fertiliser price increase in Ghana.

Funded by the UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and managed by TechnoServe, CASA TAF will provide a crisis-response grant of £20,000. The grant serves as a risk-sharing mechanism backing the “Support A Farmer Initiative”.

CASA TAF as part of the partnership will also provide technical assistance for Farmerline’s input dealers and field officers to provide advisory services and optimise input application
