Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced plans to introduce the women’s trade empowerment fund for traders.
According to him, applicants only need the Ghana Card to register and benefit from the fund.
‘’From next year we will introduce the women’s trade empowerment fund, we will give out loans and all you need to benefit from the loan is your Ghana Card’’.

Speaking during his community connect campaign trail in Bantama in the Ashanti Region, he mentioned that, the Ghana Card will have a direct benefit to Ghanaians, as it will be the only medium to access and process some documents, such as passport, birth certificate, among others.
