A proposal made by U.S President Trump, to take over the Gaza strip to take up the duty of its redevelopment has met widespread rejection by states of the Middle East.
President Trump, per reports, made the offer earlier this week and started with a proposal to resettle displaced Palestinians outside Gaza. As part of redevelopment, Trump explained that all clearing unexploded bombs, leveling destroyed buildings, and creating economic opportunities in the region.
However some states in the Mideast have neglected the offer as tensions rise within the period of a recently agreed ceasefire deal between Israel and Gaza.
A statement issued particularly by Saudi Arabia’s Finance Ministry on Wednesday highlighted their desire for the long-standing independence of the Palestinian state. The statement emphasized that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman remains committed to establishing a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that diplomatic relations with Israel will not be established without this condition.
