The Movement for Change has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder and Leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, describing him as a visionary leader whose life and works shaped the course of Ghana’s spiritual, industrial, and social development.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Solomon Owusu, the Movement extended heartfelt condolences to the Safo family, the Kristo Asafo Church, and the entire nation following the revered apostle’s peaceful passing on September 11, 2025.

The release highlighted Apostle Safo’s immense contributions to Ghana as a spiritual shepherd, philanthropist, industrialist, and agricultural innovator. According to the Movement for Change, his life embodied “wisdom, innovation, initiative, dignity, and courage of conviction,” anchored on the belief that the black man is capable of excelling on the global stage.

The statement further noted his pioneering role in industrial and technological advancement, particularly his collaboration with the Movement for Change leadership in developing Ghana’s Automobile Industry Plan.

It also praised his groundbreaking discoveries in organic agricultural inputs and modernization of herbal medicine, which have improved productivity and created new opportunities for prosperity.

“Apostle Safo’s transition to the ancestral realm is a monumental loss not only to the Safo Family and the Kristo Asafo Church, but to the entire nation of Ghana,” the statement read.

The Movement for Change urged Ghanaians to honor Apostle Safo’s legacy by sustaining his works through national recognition, stressing that his impact will continue to resonate across generations.

The statement called for calm, reflection, and divine comfort for the bereaved family and church, assuring them of the Movement’s unwavering support in this season of grief.
