The Chairperson of Parliament’s Select Committee on Defence and Interior, and MP for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has commended the Chief of Defence Staff and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for ensuring a smooth and orderly recruitment exercise.
During a tour of the various screening centres in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, November 20, following last week’s tragic incident at the El Wak Sports Stadium, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings said she was satisfied with the improvements made.
She noted that the process was progressing without major challenges, highlighting the presence of adequate safety measures, enhanced organisation, and a high level of discipline among both officers and applicants.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings added that the committee would brief the Speaker of Parliament on their observations and any recommendations after the monitoring exercise.
“As our member said, everything is going on smoothly there is sanity and discipline here. The CDS has also assured us that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth process. We will brief the Speaker accordingly,” she said.
