Samsung Ghana is strengthening its commitment to Ghana’s creative future by empowering young talent at the 10th edition of the Blooming Minds Young Writers/Arts Awards and Runway Show, held in Accra.

More than just a celebration of talent, the event brought together young creatives with bold ideas and powerful stories, highlighting the role of creativity in shaping Ghana’s cultural and economic future.

For many participants, it was not just an event, but a defining moment in their journey. Organised by Blooming Minds Change Network, the initiative has, over the past decade, grown into a respected platform for nurturing young people in writing, art, and performance.

Through this partnership, Samsung continues to play a role in enabling the next generation to express themselves, develop their skills, and turn their passions into possibilities.

In her opening remarks, Founder of Blooming Minds Change Network, Thelma Ofosu-Asamoah, highlighted the programme’s impact: “The Blooming Minds Young Writers/Arts Awards serves as a platform for young people to develop and showcase essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and leadership.”

She also acknowledged Samsung’s contribution, noting that “the involvement of a global brand like Samsung underscores the growing recognition of youth-led innovation and creative expression.”

One of the standout moments of the event was the live painting competition, where participants translated personal stories into bold, expressive artworks. Each piece reflected not just talent, but identity, perspective, and ambition, offering a glimpse into the future of Ghana’s creative landscape.

As part of Samsung’s support, winners were equipped with devices designed to help them continue their creative journey. Kimberly Quist, winner of the art contest, received a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11, empowering her to further explore digital art and storytelling. Additional honours were presented to winners in Categories A and B (short story and poetry), celebrating excellence in literary creativity.

For many participants, the experience marked the beginning of something bigger. Category A winner, Eliana Appiah, shared her aspirations moments after receiving her award: “I want to become an author in the future.”

By supporting platforms like Blooming Minds, Samsung Ghana is not only celebrating talent but investing in the future of young people, providing them with the tools, inspiration, and opportunities to create, innovate, and shape their own paths.

As creativity continues to play a defining role in Ghana’s future, Samsung remains committed to standing alongside the next generation, empowering them to tell their stories, amplify their voices, and turn their ideas into impact.
