Alex Asafo –Adjei, one of the aspirants for the position of the Ashanti Regional Deputy Director of Communications of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)   has noted that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  has taken the country to the dark days of scarcity of service and food in the early 1980s.
He said since Ghana suffered that debacle in history no administration has revisited  that on Ghanaians except the second NPP’s administration.
He said Ghanaians with cash are chasing common amenities like electricity to be able to survive under the Nana Addo’s watch.
Ghanaians are queuing for electricity for days without getting and a results people have had their food destroyed.
Others have their services gone bad leading to several losses of money and time he said.
He claimed that the president seems unconcerned because he is sleeping an air-conditioned car and room as his house is constantly supplied with power even when many of Ghanaians are in darkness.
According to him, the president is living his dreams of being the son of the ceremonial president of the land during the Second Republic.
Asafo-Adjie made this comment on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He noted that the president does not give hoot because he is enjoying the largess that comes with his office and Ghanaians are queuing for electricity.
He cautioned  Ghanaians to be wary of the NPP’s administration after it lied to power .
He added that this just the beginning and more of such hardships are on their way.
