Cape Verde put on an impressive performance during their opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations, as they beat Ethiopia 1-0 this evening.
The Blue Sharks took the lead in added time of the first-half, when Tavares was picked out by Garry Rodrigues and nodded home from close range.
The matter was made easier considering Ethiopia played with ten men from the 12th minute onwards, aftert Yared Baye was dismissed following a VAR consulation.
