Majority Leader, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin, has assured Ghanaians that the majority in parliament is ever ready to do business with the new NDC administration while’s they perform their duties as a formidable opposition.

Interacting with journalists at Parliament ahead of today’s sitting, he acknowledged MPs are democratic politicians and understand that loosing of elections is part of the game and that life continues after elections.

Hon. Afenyo Markin, however, congratulated the newly elected MPs and revealed that, his side of the house will not be a timid opposition but rather keep the next NDC government in check.

He nonetheless, expressed unfettered optimism that Ghanaians will vote in 2028 for the New Patriotic Party to return to power. He added that that they will take stock and correct the wrongs and come together as team and a formidable opposition not to be destructive .

He promised to ensure the NPP in the next parliament will be a minority without chaos and violence but to act within the confines of the law to make their point.
