The King of Akyem Kotoku State, Oseadeeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV, has praised the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, for his leadership and commitment to strengthening Ghana’s security sector.
The commendation was made during a meeting between the Minister and a delegation from the Akyem Kotoku State to discuss security concerns and opportunities for collaboration to enhance safety and security within the traditional area.
Oseadeeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV described the Minister’s efforts in advancing the country’s security architecture as commendable and encouraged him to continue the good work.
The Akyem Kotoku monarch also reaffirmed the readiness of the traditional authorities to work closely with the Ministry of the Interior and the security services to address security challenges in the area.
He noted that the Akyem Kotoku State remains committed to supporting government initiatives aimed at improving security and is prepared to provide land and other forms of assistance for security-related projects.
In response, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak expressed appreciation to the chiefs for their support and dedication to the development of the Akyem Kotoku State.
The Interior Minister commended the traditional leaders for prioritising security and assured them of the Ministry’s willingness to strengthen collaboration with traditional authorities to improve security service delivery.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to retooling the security services to enhance their operational effectiveness and responsiveness.
Muntaka further assured the delegation that the Ministry would continue to work with the Akyem Kotoku State to address its security needs and promote peace and safety within the traditional area.
The meeting formed part of efforts to deepen cooperation between government and traditional authorities in addressing security concerns and promoting development across communities.
