All set for Happy FM’s 2020 Valentine Mass Wedding

Ghana’s most engaging radio station, Happy98.9FM has it all set for the 2020 edition of its trademark Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, the Happy FM Mass Wedding in Accra.

The Happy FM Mass Wedding is a community investment initiative designed to support couples who have demonstrated their commitment and desire to spend the rest of their lives together as married couples in holy matrimony. The all-expense paid wedding ceremony seeks to help couples longing to have a white wedding or bless their union by taking on the responsibility of organizing the event and providing all the necessary resources needed.

After several weeks of preparations including intensive counselling sessions from Kofi Gyamerah-Ako, Allen Gyamerah-Ako and Happy FM’s Nyansa Boakwa, the couples; Kwame Kpormegbe & Patience Avornyo, Benjamin Lartey & Rebecca Obeng, Joel Narh Agborkey & Monica Koryo Cudjoe, Gideon Ornumah & Rose Didolanvi, Michael Ekufful & Mavis Larbi, Paul Amoafo & Esther Baidoo, Richard Attah & Juliet Afonyo, Nii Adjetey Sowah & Gifty Adjei, William Nartey Mingle & Martha Nartey, Ebenezer Kwesi Brako & Eva Adjoa Frema Asamoah, Otis Kwesi Asabie & lily Sakpaku, Christian Salvo & Roseta Amoah, Emmanuel Biney Azaglo & Sarah Mortu, Samuel Kwaku Agyapong & Anabel Karikari Agyemang will be joined in Holy Matrimony on the 14th of February, 2020 at the National Theatre in Accra.

Speaking with much anticipation for the event, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Media Alliance (GMA), Mr. Ernest Boateng indicated that, “The Happy FM Mass Wedding is in bid to fulfil the dreams of many would-be couples to experience an unforgettable wedding ceremony. No one should miss the opportunity to have their marriage officially sanctioned and blessed with the pretext of high costs. Happy FM has made provisions like mass-wedding to ease the process and costs of weddings”.

He also took the opportunity to appreciate RwandAir and Haven travel and tours for sponsoring the couple who will emerge best to an all-expense paid trip to Dubai.

The ceremony will also have amazing performances from musical greats in the Ghanaian music scene. ‘Wobeye Kese’ hitmaker, Ohemaa Mercy and Empress Gifty, and will be supported by Pastor Kofy, Minister Nana Agyeman and Minister Bright Gold to treat patrons to good music.

Programmes Manager for Happy98.9FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah also added that, “A marriage which starts with financial problems will not stand the test of time and that is why we at Happy 98.9FM initiated the mass wedding. We want to offer couples the opportunity to invest the money they would’ve otherwise spent on organizing the wedding into their future”.

He added that, “this event being the fourteenth (14th) edition and happening on the 14th of February is a milestone worth celebrating with the general public. We at Happy FM use this platform to invite the general public to witness the mass wedding.”

Happy FM through the organization of the mass wedding has joined over three hundred couples (300) in holy matrimony in the last fourteen (14) years, and attracted over three thousand (3,000) witnesses, families and friends.

Sponsors of this year’s event include; Erata Hotel, Nkulenu Foods, A E House of Suit, Cleaver House, Lizzy Tomato Mix, Best Western Plus Hotel, National Theatre, Aliqua Fashion, 2nd Image, Anointed Lady, Perception Management International, Artist Pizza.
