Appietus threatens to sue Papi of 5Five Fame

Ghanaian musician and music producer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has threatened to take Papi of music group 5Five fame to court.

Prior to this decision made by the sound engineer, he and the ‘Muje Baya’ hit maker engaged in a rather indelicate exchange on CTV’s entertainment show which had both of them voicing out their take on Appietus’ reason for apparently uploading songs of 5Five on music streaming platforms without the consent of the defunct music group.

The sound engineer revealed that he did not charge Papi for the songs he produced for the group because they would not be able to pay. “Everything was about batter; It was all about showing you people love.” He stated.

Appietus said “after the songs were released and began to hit, I was not given a dime, so I also had to upload them on music streaming platforms in order to make my money.” as what he seemingly believes a fair share of the profit out of the songs.

He finally stated that he is going to take Pappi to court for defaming him and allegedly accusing him of being a thief.
