Ghana FA Decides: New constituent bodies should not be allowed to vote- Randy Abbey

Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council aspirant Randy Abbey has said that members of the GFA only show respect to delegates and treat the other stakeholders with contempt.

He made these assertions in an interview with Ohene Bampoe Brenya on ‘Anopa Busuo sports’ Ghana’s authoritative sports station Happy FM.

”Members of the FA act with respect towards delegates and ignore other stakeholders. The public, football fans, government and sponsors are as important as the 120 delegates. They should be treated with respect and activities of the GFA must be made transparent to them too. If not, the FA will keep on suffering” he noted.

According to Randy Abbey, this arrogant posturing is one of the reasons why the Ghana FA does not get the needed support from organizations.

”No one will support you if you are not transparent to them but later go to them for sponsorships” he said.

He however, applauded the six (6) GFA presidential candidates for outdooring their manifestos to the general public saying it is a step in the right direction.

”The six (6) candiadtes have taken the right step. Outdooring their manifestos to the general public was the right thing. That is transparency and respect to all stakeholders” he stated.

Randy Abbey is contesting for one of the twelve (12) slots of the Executive Council of GFA.

The GFA Executive Council elections are set to be held on October 24.
