This year’s edition of the annual Kumasi Fashion Week kicked off at the Kumasi City Mall from 26th May to 28th May 2023. The event, which was billed to be the best yet, did not disappoint. Several notable fashionistas and designers from around the country graced the occasion with stunning designs.

As the official fabric sponsor of the event, ATL, Ghana’s indigenous fabric brand leveraged on the event to unveil a stunning collection of fabric. The brand collaborated with Dreams College of Creative Arts and August Studio in association with the Next Generation Designers to design capsule collections. These collections were modelled to an awe-inspired audience on Saturday, 27th May at the forecourt of the Kumasi City Mall. As part of its corporate social responsibility, ATL provides fabrics and support to new talents that are aligned with the Next Generation Designers initiative.

Speaking at the event, Petra Aba Asamoah ATL’s Head of Sales & Marketing reiterated the company’s commitment to the industry, “as a leading textile manufacturer in Ghana, it is imperative that we support the fashion industry, and this event provides the opportunity to do just that. We remain committed to the industry and its stakeholders.”

Highlights of the event are shared on ATL’s social media page @atlfabrics on Instagram and ‘Akosombo Textiles’ on Facebook.

Established in 1967, Akosombo Textiles Ltd. (now Akosombo Industrial Company Limited – AICL) began the modern textile industry in Ghana. With a well-equipped factory in Akosombo and sales and administrative offices in Accra, ATL continues to offer customers trendy and quality wax prints. Akosombo Textiles (ATL) fabrics are available at the ATL Shop located in Adabraka, No. 40 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, opposite the Swanzy Shopping Arcade or through distributors nationwide. Customers can also shop online at atlfabrics.com or call 0244334406 / 0244328661 for enquires
