Atsu could have escaped the earthquake if he had a strong spiritual life – Majid Michel

Ghanaian actor Majid Michel has expressed the demise of the late Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu as premature and could have been avoided if he focused on having a spiritual life.

In an interview on Accra – based radio station, Majid noted that the Hatayspor winger Atsu was not called to rest by God, but rather died in a premature manner. “Atsu was not supposed to die; Atsu’s death was a premature death.” he stated. Recent reports indicate that Christian Atsu booked a flight from Turkey to the UK but later cancelled his flight the night before the earthquake.

The renowned actor revealed that all assertions positing that since Atsu was brought to this Earth by God, therefore has been taken back are all false doctrines derived from the anguish of Job in the Bible. “I don’t believe in the phrase, ‘you don’t know what will happen tomorrow; God gives, and God takes. That’s a lie! Oh God gave Atsu and God has taken Atsu; God did not take Atsu anywhere; It was Job that made that statement; he said that in anguish; those were Job’s words and we have made that a doctrine.” he echoed.

Majid Michel believes that there is a need for the youth of the nation to be spiritually built and highlighted that “it is better to raise strong children than to fix broken men.”
