Ghana’s health sector has been revolutionised with a groundbreaking telemedicine application named, ‘AUteledoctor’.

AUteledoctor makes it easy for subscribers to enjoy a unique full-service consultation without having to step foot in the hospital “and with AUteledoctor you can engage doctors online for swift healthcare”.

“Just like WhatsApp has made speaking to relatives abroad affordable and easier, so has technology through the Auteledoctor application made healthcare easier”, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AUteledoctor, Yaw Karikari noted.

Explaining how the application works, Yaw Karikari motioned, “One has to download the application from the app store and play store respectively. After opening the application you book an appointment and then at the due time, the doctor calls you for your session”.

The video element of the AUteledoctor application makes it easier for doctors to examine the physicals of patients and make the right diagnosis. “But when it comes to checking of temperature, blood pressure and weight one has to visit the nearest health facility to do that and later upload them unto the application”.

Speaking in an interview on the Happy Morning Show aired on e.TV Ghana and Happy FM, Yaw Karikari noted that after interacting with the doctor via the app, he or she can recommend to the subscriber the need to visit a health facility if necessary.

AUteledoctor, the video-based and full service telemedicine mobile app is poised to change and improve healthcare delivery in the country, as patrons and patients can conveniently access and consult a doctor on the app from any location, while receiving prescription and lab requests from the app with easy and affordable payment systems.

Doctors were entreated to download the app and contact Auteledoctor for verification and set up completion whilst the general public was also entreated to download the app and enjoy convenient and quality medical services at affordable rates.

Viewers were directed to follow and join AUteledoctor on digital media via Facebook @Auteledoctor , Instagram and Twitter @Auteledoctor1 or on phone 0557504390/0244155156 and also download the app for convenient health care.
