The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Okaikwei Constituency, Abdullai Abu Sadiq popularly known as Baba Sadiq has opened up on stepping down as the CEO of 3Music Networks and venturing into politics.

In a remarkable turn of events, Baba Sadiq announced in 2022 his decision to enter the political arena as the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Okaikwei Central Constituency.

In a recent interview on the Happy Morning Show, Baba Sadiq indicated that his decision to commit fully to politics was among several sacrifices worth making as he expressed his belief that there is no true leader without sacrifices.

“Stepping down from my own company was a sacrifice and it tells you that the objective I have is one that i will go the extra mile to achieve it,” he told Sefah Danquah.

Speaking about his journey into politics, Baba Sadiq emphasized the immense effort and determination it took to embark on this new path. He revealed, “It took months of work, months of convincing the people and canvassing votes across the length and breathe of the constituency and the various different branches.”

He indicated that he was determined to convey the message of “New Hope for OkaiKwei Central” to party delegates. “The idea is that when they don’t accept us then it’s becomes difficult for even the constituency to accept us,” he added.

Sadiq also acknowledged that his multifaceted background provided him with a unique perspective and valuable skills that he intends to leverage for the benefit of his constituents.

He shared, “people know I come with varied backgrounds that also relates to communication, research, gathering insights and effectively communicate the vision to the people. It took a lot of efforts, strategies, sleepless nights and engaging the delegates.”
