Embattled Ghanaian boxer Richard Harrison Lartey has rendered an apology to the Ghana Boxing Association over allegations he made against the body.

The heavyweight boxer has been banned by GBA for five years for forging the signature of General Secretary Peter Johnson on documents ahead of a WBO belt in the UK in 2019.

The Embattled Ghanaian boxer in an interview on Happy Sports with Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy 98.9FM, has apologized for the allegations made against some officials of GBA.

“I will like to use your platform to render an unqualified apology to the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) over certain comments and allegations that i made against them. I have thought about it and i will plead with them to forgive me and also reduce the ban which is likely to affect my career”, he pleaded.

Harrison Lartey also confirmed parting ways with Cubic Promotions.

” I have no business with Cubic Promotions again”

Happy Sports got in touch with officials of GBA and they indicated that the boxer was yet to officially write to the association.

General Secretary for the GBA Peter Johnson told Happy Sports that the decision on whether to reduce the ban will be determined by the GBA Board.

According to Peter Johnson, he is surprised Harrison Lartey is asking for forgiveness after making those wild allegations against them.
